All renovations are subject to the rules as described in our regulations.
Pay attention to the rules regarding heating systems, exhaust hoods, the facade, and sun shading.
Before you start renovating, you must request written permission from the board. This can be done using the form below. Provide a clear description of your construction plans, preferably with a drawing. If you renovate without permission, the board can halt your renovation.
Certain structural elements in your home may not be affected or changed, such as:
- Front and rear facades (including front door, windows, balcony door)
- Structural wall across the space at the stairs
- Radiators and heating pipes
- Air and ventilation ducts. You may not install exhaust hoods on the air ducts.
- Sewage and rainwater drainage.
All technical components such as water, gas, electricity, boilers, and ventilation may only be installed or altered by certified companies. All shut-off valves and meters must always remain accessible.
Construction activities may only be carried out between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM. No renovations are allowed on Sundays and public holidays.
You must dispose of construction waste at the municipal landfill. It is not allowed at the bulk waste site on the street.
During renovations (when bringing in and removing materials), dirt (dust, streaks, etc.) will accumulate in the common areas of the building. You must clean this yourself. Do this immediately after removing debris, so that the dirt does not spread to the rest of the building. If you do not do this, any cleaning costs will be charged to you.
If you are going to install sun shading, please request permission from the board. Sun shading on the Sloterplas side must be orange. On the front side, you may install screens, which must be beige.
